Zaynah Marani

Founder and Managing Principal of Marani Law, Zaynah Marani practices as an Immigration and Real Estate lawyer, providing practical legal solutions to her clients around the world.
Zaynah obtained her Bachelor of Arts Degree in Spanish with International Comparative Studies from the University of Western Ontario. She then moved to United Kingdom where she obtained her LL.B from the University of Leicester and her LL.M in Public International Law from the London School of Economics and Political Science.
Zaynah has studied, worked and volunteered in a number of countries including Spain, Mexico, Peru, Costa Rica, India, and Pakistan. While travelling, she realized her love of languages and developed a fluency in Spanish. Zaynah also acquired strong values from each of the countries which she still carries with her today.
Prior to pursuing her career in Law, Zaynah worked abroad with various Governmental and Non-Governmental organizations in the field of International Development. When she returned to Canada, she completed a Fellowship with the Law Foundation of Ontario at a community legal clinic, which served as her Articles. Prior to founding the firm, Zaynah worked as a Lawyer in the areas of Global Migration and Canadian Immigration in the Greater Toronto Area. In addition to managing Marani Law, Zaynah is a former Member of the Executive Committee of the Immigration Section of the Ontario Bar Association and currently sits as a Director on the Board of the Asian Real Estate Association of the Americas. She is also a member of the Rotary Club of Toronto and partakes in a wide variety of public speaking engagements.
Zaynah is fluent in English and Spanish and proficient in French. She is a member of the Ontario Bar Association, the Canadian Bar Association, and the Law Society of Upper Canada.

Zahra Marani

Fellow co-founder of Marani Law, Zahra is a Commercial and Real Estate Lawyer who provides advice to Marani Law clients in her areas of practice.

Zahra graduated with a Bachelor of Arts Degree in French Language and Literature from the University of Western Ontario. She then completed a post graduate program in International Business Management at Seneca College in Toronto. In 2004, she moved to the United Kingdom and graduated with her LL.B. and LL.M in International Commercial Law from the University of Leicester. In 2007, Zahra was awarded the Felicidad Martinez-Purrinos Memorial Prize for maintaining the highest degree standing in her Masters class.

After completing her Articles at a litigation firm in Niagara Falls, Zahra was called to the Ontario Bar in 2009. She practiced in Ontario for a short period before returning to the UK to pursue a dual qualification to practice as an English solicitor. While on this quest, she taught LLB students at the University of Leicester and the University of Nottingham. Zahra completed the practical element of her British retraining and was admitted to the Roll of Solicitors of England and Wales in January 2012.

Her practice areas encompass Real Estate, Commercial Law and Dispute Resolution. Zahra has also developed a niche practice catering to clients who conduct business in both the UK and Canada. In addition to practicing law in the UK, Zahra has been heavily involved in the business development team of both a Midlands and a London based firm.

Zahra is fluent in English and proficient in French. She is a member of the Canadian Bar Association, the Law Society of Upper Canada, and the Law Society of England and Wales.
